"Ta Atoma"
(en français : "Les Atomes", "Les Individus") est le titre d'une exposition qui se tiendra sur le port de Thessalonique (Grèce) du 22 mai au 4 juin 2001. (11h – 14h et 19h – 22h)

"Ta Atoma"
(in English “Atoms”, “Individuals") is the title of an exhibition which will take place within the precincts of the Port of Thessaloniki (Greece) between 22 May and 4 June 2001, (11 AM - 2 PM & 7-10 PM).

Organisée à l'initiative de la Galerie du Tableau (association Diem Perdidi, à Marseille), et parrainée par les ports de Marseille et de Thessalonique, cette exposition présente les oeuvres de quinze artistes plasticiens -- 7 Marseillais, 8 Thessaloniciens.

Ainsi, il n'y aura pas un vernissage, mais quinze vernissages (calendrier)... Un vernissage chaque soir... Pendant quinze jours... Un vernissage pour chacun des artistes...
Plus précisément, dans un vaste local situé dans l'enceinte du Port de Thessalonique, sont exposés, pendant toute la durée de la manifestation, les travaux "réguliers" des participants.

A l'intérieur de ce même local est installée la réplique exacte de la Galerie du Tableau.
Et chaque soir, un des participants est invité à présenter, dans cette galerie reconstituée, un travail légèrement décalé par rapport à son travail ordinaire : nouvelle proposition, voie à explorer, ébauche, autre aspect de son travail... et d'en discuter avec les visiteurs.
Il est prévu une retransmission, sur Internet (sur le site français art-et-toile.com ainsi que sur le site grec artbox.gr), de ces soirées dont l'objectif in fine est de réactiver la notion de convivialité, sous ses multiples formes, lors d'une manifestation artistique.

Organised on the initiative of the Galerie du Tableau (part of the “Diem Perdidi” Association of Marseilles), under the aegis of the Port Authorities of Marseilles and Thessaloniki, this exhibition will present the work of 15 artists, 7 from Marseilles and 8 from Thessaloniki.

There will not be just one opening, but fifteen, one for each of the artists. One every evening, for fifteen days. (Calendar),
More precisely, in a vast converted warehouse within the precincts of the Port of Thessaloniki, the work of the fifteen participants are to be exhibited normally, for the full duration of the exhibition.

Within the warehouse an exact replica of the Galerie du Tableau will be installed.
Every evening in this reconstructed gallery, one of the artists is invited to present a work which is slightly at variance with his usual work, some new proposition, path of exploration, trial run, some other aspect of their work... and to discuss this with the visitors.
These evening encounters aim, essentially, to revive the notion of conviviality, in its multifarious forms, which accompany an art event. They will be shown on the internet sites art-et-toile.com (in France) and artbox.gr (in Greece).
